Well its getting close now. I need a new bonnet coz i cut this one wrong as you can see... That and it has a dirty big hole in it. Made a 3mm flat bar frame for just the bonnet skin to sit on and just finnished off welding and bracketing everything. Suspension getting a fresg up next weekend!

Well i started the cage today. Im kinda happy with the A pillars, still gonna change them a little as they sit nice and close to the body shell everywhere but the stretch at the windscreen has a bit of a gap to the pillar.
Bending pipe is fun

Well a bit more progress. I moved to a new place where i could work at home on it insted of 100km into the bush at my parents. Got a bit more of the cage done and binned the roof. I was gonna keep the lid on it but i bent the main hoop about 10cm too wide so took to it with the grinder, always wanted a convertible anyway. Gonna do another rear halo section too.

Yup already done! Everything thats not needed is in the bin. I had a cunning plan last night too. Thinking of getting some 2-3mm wall C section as a 'cap' for the top of the B pillar back to the tail lights. To act as a kind of slider and to make the chop look tidier. Planning on welding the rear doors shut, only the gas tank is in there anyway.

Cool truck. Loved the thing not doved but progress gets made and things change.
What kind of paint did you use? I've heard of good results of brushing/rolling on enamel paint. Good texture and super resistant.

What a top weekend of wheeling! Broke 2 CVs and the front drive shaft about 3 times but with alot of help from Tom (Zoltan) i got back out there and finnished a few stages and even managed to flop it!
Just need to sort out that front shaft issue and put some better CVs in there and she should be sweet! ![]() ![]()

Just a quick update. Finally got a couple more pics of it from the comp last year and started to expand the cage a bit more. Ive also moved the diff around and repaired a few things. STILL having front propshaft issues, I just cant get the uni on the diff end to clear! Making a CV (like off a ifs rig driveshaft) shaft up to see how that goes.
