putting together TC... gasket sealer ?
The TC isn't really apart per se. I took off the driver's side plate (1975 fj40).
Do i need a new gasket, or will some gasket sealer from a tube work just as well? It's not like its a big ticket item, but SOR wants $13 for SH for a 2 gram, $2 part!! So $15 for a $2 gasket just irritates me. that is all. gerry

I save old cereal boxes for when I need to cut out a replacement gasket. Just trace & trim w/ an exacto blade. A hand held hole puncher works quick too. Yeah, it's cheap &
, but works good for me in a pinch.
