Fj40 Duct Hose re-shaping question.

Hi all.

My duct to the heater box connection is terminally loose and both fall out (even without severe driver/passenger foot flailing). The "Red Green" solution works but is ulgy.

I'm thinking of shaping a wooden plug to push inside and then put the heat gun to them to get them to assume a more "correct" shape.

What are your thoughts on this - will this work more than a few minutes? Is there a better way to accomplish this project.
