Trail-Gear Takes on Landuse Land Cruiser; Saving Trails

Trail-Gear, big supporters of keeping our sport alive, has taken on our landuse Land Cruiser, 80 series (1994 vintage) that Stacie and I use to augment our trail-saving efforts.

Elsie, the land cruiser (LC, get it?), is going to get tons of love and some off-road parts so she is more trail capable. Follow it here. We're talking bumpers, custom sliders, some armor, maybe some TLC in general, and who knows what?

I think it would serve the off-highway community a lot better if Trail-Gear's money were put in the BRC legal fund instead of fixing up your POV. My 2¢ of course.

Rockcrusher, the fact is Trail Gear DOES support landuse and access (and BRC) by putting money in the landuse bank and donating to the right causes. In fact, just last week they kicked in $500 to BRC as a donation (another one for them).

Perhaps you haven't looked up who we are and what we do???

As far as helping Stacie and I with vehicles, you couldn't be father from wrong...all we do is work to save trails and burn up our personal rigs doing it. Nationwide.

It almost sounds like sour grapes on your part.???? Or again, perhaps you didn't look up what we do. But anyway, there are only a couple of folks nationwide fighting full time for 4x4 trails. Stacie and I are two of them and businesses like Trail Gear, BFG, Warn, Raceline Wheels, Poison Spyder, GenRight, ARB, Atlas, Rockcrawler.com, Pirate4x4.com, IH8MUD.com, 4x4wire.com, Hanson, Bushwacker, Nemesis, Utra4 Racing, Falken Tire, MetalCloak, Trasharoo, Rubicon Express, 4Wheel Parts, Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts, T&T Customs, Fox Racing Shox, Bower Motorsports Media, J&W Auto Wreckers, Olympic4x4 Products, Sierra Gear and Axle, and many others have figured it out and support landuse.

I'm curious. Post up your involvement in landuse, memberships and donations.

Wish we'd had outfits like Trail Gear around in the 1960's when I was learning to wheel in my Dad's '52 Studebaker buggy, home built. Back then, there were very few signs, no fences, and little to stop you from going just about anywhere. Still, my Dad paid attention to not tearing things up while giving us kids a sense of exploration and freedom.

Who are you to second guess the way any company or private individual spends their money? If I want to buy Del a lobster dinner to keep his belly full as he fights for our rights, that's my choice. If trail gear wants to build him a space shuttle, that's their choice.

This is the beginning, middle, and end of all that Land Use should consist of. No laws, but plenty of good ethics and family fun. Enjoy the land, learn to explore, have fun with your family, and leave it nice for the next family to come enjoy.

Lets not forget Trail Gears involvement with events. Trail gear has donated well over 20k worth of product to the Cantina for the Cons raffle over the years,

With the help of some seriously yummy tacos and nachos, and many Vendors like Trail Gear, the event has grossed over 100k which was donated to help in the fight of keep the rubicon trail open.

Like em or not, Trail Gear does give back to help keep our trails open, regardless if its money or helping in raising money.

I have quite a few TG products on my 77 FJ40 which I have bashed mercilessly with no breakage. 1.5" hydro assist ram, 6 shooter knuckles, forged high steer arms, trunion bearing eliminators, diff protection plate, and T6061 wheel spacers. TG is making unique products for Rigs like mine. I'm glad they are also helping Del and Stacy.

IMO it is time to get off TG's ass in regards to business practice.
The business and it's staff have served their time so to speak and the company is apparently going strong. That one product dispute did not make or break the company , time to let it go. have your opinions about the individual but IMO the company has put up with slot of trash talk and stayed on course.

100%, I saw the post title in this forum and thought "Gee I bet the LC TG hate mod is chomping at the bit." It sure started out that way but the bottom line is unmistakable.

Del, I look forward to your build and hopefully some 80-oriented products from TG. 80's are notoriously $$$$$$$$$$ for well, just about everything. We absolutely love our 1994 Fzj80 but I cannot afford to buy a lot of products from the current vendors.
