Use the setup I have in my Sig and if you have 4.10 gears you will be ok. Get a TRD with the rear locker and you will be good to go.

Thats too open ended of a question to get a decent answer. How much do you want to spend to lift your truck? How well do you expect it to ride? How much hauling towing will it see? How much and what type of wheeling (if any) will it see?
Fitting 33's could be done with a 3" body lift and a sawzall, but not if you want it done right. And for a 4cyl on 33's your going to hate stock gearing, even 4:10's. Most people are running 4:88's with the 4cyl. |

4.10's really aren't that bad, I can cruiser down the highway at 80 and only turn 3k RPM. But if you get in an area with a lot of hills or steep grades, 5th gear is not usable. 4.88's are better suited for 35's in my opinion cause I have seen 33's and 4.88s on a 4cyl and the cruising RPMs are like 2900 to 3k.
I'll be running 35's next and will run the 4.10's for a little, but will be regearing to 4.88 sometime thereafter. You will get tons of opinions whoever you ask. Look over at the members rigs section at TTORA and you can see what you want to run.

READ THE FAQ
then check TTORA or Yotatech for answers to those questions. this is a tech/rockcrawling forum. you'll have better luck at those sites Last edited by archer1965; 03-08-2007 at 07:37 PM. |

Yep, it is a piece of crap when I got it on the truck, had several problems with it, but reinforced the mount areas and did a few other things and it hasn't been a problem in the past 3 years. Also got it before I heard about 4crawler.com

dont get a body lift at all thats for fags, if your cheep just run the ome with a 3/4" spacer for the front and a 1" block in the rear, think about it the truck comes with 31s stock 33s are only an 1" bigger all the way around. also run them on ur stock wheels the backspacing is just right and you will also have to hammer the pinch weld back on the inner fender but thats no big deal. as little lift as possible is the best way to go, I have the same set up on my taco. it works great!

if you regear it go with 4.56, it will be like running stock gears and tiers and the speedo is not to far off.
