Skyjacker Performance Strut 3" lift--Experiences?

Here's the kit: http://app.vendio.com/stores/sf_item...2337029&mode=1

Before I buy this, I was wondering if the front strut lift hurts offroad performance on this setup. I have heard that it pushes down on the entire suspension, not compressing the spring, but losing downtravel--but does losing downtravel really make much of a difference (on/off road)?

I am on a budget, so this looks like a really good deal. I also have an option to buy used Fabtech coilovers (if I get them in time). This will of course cost more, but are they that much better than the strut lift?

For the price, I get new rear leaf springs and front struts. However, I am stuck with the strut lift unless I remove it and add a coilover or spacer lift later. Is a strut lift better or worse than a spacer lift which compresses the springs? Do spacers lose travel in the same way as the strut lift? I wonder why more companies haven't gone this route, as when I talked to skyjacker, they said it is one of their most basic/affordable kits.

So in a nutshell, if I can't get the coilovers I want, I will either get spacers or the strut lift. But first, I would like to know the Pros and Cons of each.

Thanks for any input!
Alan
