Body Lift Required On Passenger Drop 23 Spline Duals In '99 4Runner??
I'm planning to start a build up on my 3rd Gen. 4Runner (1999 model with the 3.4L and manual trans).
B/c I want to run a passenger side drop D60 front axle to work with a passenger drop 23 spline dual ultimate Marlin (2.28 & 4.70 gears)....I need to find out if I definitely MUST run a 1" or 1.5" body lift in order to clear the gear driven cases on the transmission tunnel? Thanks, Sean

Id say its going to depend on how much floor modification your willing to do. A 1" body lift will minimize the amount of pounding you'll need to do but there is only one way to really know for sure... start fitting parts and be prepared to use the BFH. I had to pound just to run dual cases on my IFS Tacoma, so yeah, your going to need to do some pounding but its not the end of the world.
