Tacoma Bed Bob Lots of Pics
So I got bored and figured that I would bob my bed. The total length taken out was 14" and it turned out pretty well. Took about 5 hours to comeplete with not bondo and paint.

My interenet crapped out right when i was adding the pics so here they are
![]() Before cutting into the perfect body. ![]() ![]() The first cut ![]() ![]() 14" gone. I didn't get any pics of the the frame rails cut off but I took twelve inches out and the capped and plated the rails at the ends. ![]() All done, just needs a coat of bondo and some paint. ![]()

Hell, what's the rest of the truck's spec's? Got a build thread? You don't see a rhd axled Tacoma very often... Looks good.

When you welded the pieces back together did you just weld one to the other or is there a piece on the backside that you added to weld them together? Also did you weld them fully all the way down?
I am getting ready to do mine but I am going to be doing a cage and only using the bedsides. Can't decide if it'd be easier to bob the bedsides once they're off the truck or do the bed while it is still all intact.

I welded the sides with nothing behind them except where there was a gap too big to bridge with a weld. As for bobbing the bedsides when theyre not on the truck, I would think that would be a pain in the ass.
