Sky's SAS Kit

I decided to order my sas kit from www.sky-manufacturing.com since I was ordering the oil pan from them and the guy on the phone said everything was in stock.

So this is what I got in the mail for $325 + shipping.

I thought I was getting frame plating for both pass/driver's side. It's also missing the steering box mount. I'll be calling them back tomorrow to see whats up.

But here is a pic for you guys in case you were wondering what Sky's kit was about.

I used their parts on my last S10 . The Sfa kit worked well for me with some tweaking. Good luck and post pics.

That doesn't look like a hell of a lot of stuff for that kind of money. Maybe that's just me.

They didnt send me any of the frame plating or steering box mounting stuff.

I'm calling tomorrow and asking for my money back.

Then I will be contacting fror or aj.

EDIT - Just got a reply from Sky. He said all they forgot was the steering box mounting kit. I will still be returning it.

Speaking from a guy who made all his own stuff, I would go with the Front Range kit. It will save you so much time. Plus, the quality of the stuff that Brian puts out is second to none!!

Dell-

I don't know why Jon at All-Pro doesn't put out a kit for the Tacos. Most of us don't have the cash for coilovers and a hybrid 60 set up.

FrontRange... for me then... simple sprung front is all I want...

Here's why Tim...

Jon has launched AllPro into a FJ craze... and Tacomas and other less then modern 'yota's have become back burning fodder...

AllPro has not been much as service orientated buisness... But lately... they are pumping out FJ makeovers like there is no other... Driving by their shop lately... There's always several customer FJ's in the stalls or parking lot awaiting their transformation most any day... some folk just have too damn much money And no skills

IMO I would throw money at a different platform than the fuckin FJ cruiser.

But I didn't get the kit shipped out this weekend......partied way too hard.

I'll ship it out tomorrow and hopefully get my money back by the end of the week.

Soon enough Tacomas will be recognized just like the 85 pickup/4runner. Maybe not quite as much but they'll get there

Business got to go where the money is and the money is in FJs. These guys order their 30k FJs and then order another 5 k in accessories from All-Pro and others. I don't blame Jon for this, but it would be nice if we could have other products besides FJ stuff that is cool and innovative.

The Sky kit is made for the older toyotas and using a toyota axle. FROR and Bent UP's kits have a wider front hanger 31.5( center to center) which matches up with the spring perches on waggy, 78-79 HP44 and 60 axles. Otherwise you will have to cut and move the perches which on a waggy 44 you can only move the passenger side the drivers side is on the side of the hogs head.

Is there any wonder. Their stuff seems fitting for mall runner duty and that's about it. I mean with welds falling completely off and all that shit. I'd say the FJC and All Pro are a nice match up and well suited for each other. LOL

Sky just came out with their "Tacoma" Kit.

The hanger they sent is the correct width to use a waggy 44.

I sent the kit back today anyways.

I'm just mad I pissed away $100 in shipping charges, but i'd rather piss a few bucks away now to save me from headaches in a few weeks.

Cronus told me to chill, so I let off some steam grinding and cleaning my axle over the weekend.

I'm calling Sky tomorrow to see whats up. I'm not really pressed on time for these parts, but they were sure quick to charge my Visa, and now seem non existent to return some of my money.

Are you going to weld the axle tube to the carrier?
