passenger side axle SAS issues?

what are the main issues associated with putting a passenger side front axle on a taco. can you please post pics of exhaust mods required, etc. im just about ready to put a dana 60 and 70 under my taco instead of the 93 4runner i orginally planned to build, but havent looked into these issues yet and would appreciate any ideas, help, pictures, suggestions, etc

thanks in advance

Exhaust mods, plus the older toyota axles are too narrow. I honestly thing waggy 44s are to narrow if you put leaf springs under them. 64 or 65 wms is probably the perfect number in my opinion. I'm running 63 and I still get into the springs with my tires all the time.

tim, do you have a drivers drop or passenger on yours? a appreciate your bedbob thread as i plan to do that as well...

i have full width axles(69.5'' front, 65'' rear) but im trying to make up for some of that(make it skinnier) with 5.5'' backspaced wheels on 9'' rims

Right on. I have a driver's side waggy axle. Full width will be perfect. I don't think the exhaust thing is that big of a deal looking at Revivalist's set up.

I think the crossover pipe needs to be rerouted and any exhaust shop can do that.

X2 Paul

I just picked up a D60 that's 69 wms<->wms. I have a 96 standard cab with the 2.7 in it. I think i might just order the marlin bellhousing and run the R150 and the 4.7 duals i have now. I was also curious if any body has done this? I take it your taco's' the same as mine? Between the 85 and 96 taco i can't decide witch one to do. I have a 4.3/r150 that i could put the 85 but i really like the idea of the taco on 60s

It's not the end of the earth to swap the tubes. I think my local rear end shop does it for something like $150, if you bring them the housing.

I run clocked dual geardrive cases on my taco with passenger drop and all I had to modify for the setup was the exhuast which I just had a shop bend up for cheap. the stock cat will not fit at all but a small aftermarket one will no problem
