$500 cool, spend it all on tubing and get some of the chassis knocked out. (assuming non DOM for you fuckers) start over? so rebuy a set of 1 tons, gear them, lock them, rebuy birfs, joints, shocks, everything he already has, etc. thats pointless. scrap the frame/body and get what you can for it and spend it all in tube.

is that going to be a crawler or a desert runner? for desert i love it, for rocks, i would ruin it in 2 minutes, mine is flush with the bottom of the frame right now and still takes plenty of hits. even with the spring hangers there.
how many gallons is that tank? and wheres the thread on that thing, looks cool as shit. oh, and i take it thats a bump correct?

I built it so that it could be both, but its used on the rocks mainly. The customer had a big wish list, otherwise I would of done a few things different. Yaa it gets hit enough but it was designed to take a beating (skids were not built at this point).
The cell uses the oem fuel assembly, holds a little over 17 gallons. Ya thats at bump w/40's. Haha I know!! I have a lot of builds up my sleeve. This runner in particular has a several hundred hours into it in a four month period.

the fab on that skid you did looks sweet. i agree with callen though, youd be all dingle berried off in the rocks at the hammers or any trail for that matter where it started to actually get decently difficult.

Thanks guys! I knew it was going to get hit alllllot. It had to be pretty beef cake cause the frame is cut off in front of the axle, I built that whole sub-frame and then built back towards the front. The 4runner kinda is effed in that area unless you dont mind cutting out the whole rear floor pan! Ehh a little uhmw it'll slide right off them rocks!! haha

i found a perfect tank from summit, basically it would sit about 2" above the floor inside, and hang down below the frame about an inch, it fits inside the frame rails and clears my rear diff by an inch.
once i cut the rear frame off at the back doors everything will be much cleaner. im planning on punching the frame rails through the floor where the rear seat is and running them on the inside of the body. . . .sounds weird, but it looks amazing in my head haha.

well,
built a traction/anti-wrap bar to see if i can salvage the leafs for another season. decided to buy brians tires and wheels, so this year youll see it with the walkers and maddogs (hopefully 41" radial rockers before next year). also dropped the fuel tank and reconnected the fitting in my "pickup manifold" that has loosened up. pretty much creating a huge suction leak inside the tank above the fuel level. also replaced the fuel pump with a new one. 40psi@180lph or something like that. to everyone that said my old pump was loud because it was going out, i have to tell you, the new one is just as loud, inline pumps bring the suck. anyway, pretty much all ready for a fordyce trip for memorial day, see some of you on the trail!

you should see how my driveline bent, just the slip is bent, its trippy, and there is a nasty gouge in my air tank from the pinion hitting it. . . .and its 12" away from the pinion, and behind it haha.
the traction bar does give me a bit of anti squat on the drivers side under acceleration. basically feels like i have a big nasty v8 when i take off from a light since it wants to pick up the drivers front tire. . . .of course my CLAPPED out passenger rear leaf pack, and blown out drivers side rear shock arent helping anything.
