Hello,
I would like to know from experience if it's worth to get a 2001-2004 double cab prerunner over the 4wd DC mostly cost savings/hassles. ( the prerunners seem to be about 2G cheaper!)
I have a 1983 CJ8 scrambler. I need more room for the kids.
It has a '95 LT1 727 (3spd auto) NP 231 (reduction box) Dana 300.
Leaf sprung. F&R.
Volvo portal axles.
42" TSL
I would like to keep the 3.4v6 (A/C and other comforts!!) and a340...easy to get a 231/300 under the truck? (usual suspects AA, Marlin, Inchworm????) RIGHT drop tcase.
or...
sell my doubler and go Toyota cases????? ( right drop)..is the 4x4 case in the Tacoma worth keeping if this is the route???
I'm wondering if I use all my stuff, and I need to SAS anyways should I just get a prerunner (I hate the nickel and dime shit!!!)
SAS would be simple leaf springs for now.
Thanks for your time.
JC
