05+ tacoma drums on 86-94 pickup axle?

the truck it would be going into is a 2010 single cab 4x4 tacoma.

i have a factory trd locker that i want to swap into the houseing but since i cannot i might be willing to swap it into an old pickup houseing then swap my brakes to this old/new axle.

i have a posi unit in now the truck doesnt go like a locker would.

maybe selling what doesnt work to buy what does (arb) is the best idea?
the trd locker is from a 2009 FJ.
84 toyota on junkyard 31s and dual cases. still building

Not sure on actuall numbers, but the older housings going to be narrower. An ARB in your existing housing would be a better idea.

'05 and up use a different bearing setup and also a different brake system. Among other things, the drum is smaller than '04 and earlier.
