Nothin major but brake lines are all done, system is working perfect. The line locks bad ass. Rear brakes are the same as the front, all braided stainless and I have a simple wilwood proportioning valve under the hood

It's tacked to the sliders. I'm guessing he will pull it, finish weld and paint before putting it on for good.

This thing looks damn good Matt Definitely not like anything I've seen before.

I'm completely pulling it off to weld it and paint it, cutting off the upper a pillar right by the bend on the upper section of the winshield... Didn't know what I was doing at the time but I should have left the upper splice tacked on that section. Once its back on ill tack the a pillar where it belongs again. Lean the cage, weld it, make it look pretty. The put the cage back down. At that point ill finish welding it to the frame and attaching it behin the fender.

And about mcr. I'm really trying my hardest to make it. Been working every day on my truck. I still have a lot to do and I refuse to backtrack on this thing just to make a trip. So I'm trying my hardest to get it close enough to go. But if it gets to the point of me having to temporarily attach coilovers and bumps I'm gonna pass on the trip. I don't mind zip tying brake lights and tack welding on bed sides or running half an exhaust, but I don't want to have to ghetto rig a ton off major stuff. tube work is taking me longer than I thought to get it how I want so I'm a little behind on my anticipated scedule to make mcr. But I'm still trying my hardest to make the event.

ya i completely agree, if i actually stuck to the few deadlines iv had in the past my truck wouldn't have turned out as nice. so with that said, im gonna try, but if im cutting it to close im gonna pass, it would be stupid to half ass some stuff just to make one trip. its so close anyways that if i dont make mrc. ill probably be able to wheel by the end of September so it wouldnt be much longer anyways.

i just didnt expect the tube work to take this long.

my whole brake line setup with all the fittings, proportioning valve, line lock, and braided stainless was right around 500$. i have 40ft of braided stainless so thats where most of the money is. and some of the special fittings that convert right out of the masted cylinder to -3 and a few other ones were pricey. they were all custom so he crimped what i wanted.

in my opinion its so worth it though. they are so easy to work with, clean looking, pretty much indestructible, and all are reusable.

also similar to hydraulic line you can buy the DIY fittings. so if something gets destroyed on the trail im able to fix them myself with a few special fittings.

oh, i stand corrected, i thought the other day when we were talking he said he was just going to lift and tilt it enough to weld everything so he didnt have to cut the A pillar. nvm.
