Well we will see tomorrow if the cage warped. I don't think it did much.
And booger I use to use those pads you talked about all the time till I found these. The ones your talking about always pissed me off because they were either to slow of a process or you'd catch a bur or an edge with it and it would instantly grenade the pad. I know its all just preference at that point but just thought I'd post that I went from using those to using the type I posted.

those sanding disks are awesome but literally are only good for tubing or hitting the small radius' of bigger square tubing. matt your right, the smallest thing will explode them. they really only need to be in an open environment. a few places ive worked at out here have them. the place im at now does. im drunk. 4 weeks matt.

I use 3inch Plastic backed roloc disc's, 3M purple ones work great. If the edge gets chewed up or worn out push it sideways into a peice of scrap and you got a fresh edge.

what a piece of shit.
...At least that's what I expect people would think of my rig if it were seen parked next to that beautiful hunk of steel. keep up the good work.

White Trash Fab

Spent the last 2 nights trapped in a hotel on a work trip and read threw the whole build, Very high quality fab work and great attention to detail. I am a complete exo hater but for the first time I can say "That is a damn good looking cage." Please paint the exo with matching silver paint.

pretty much finished off the cage today. just have to finish the easy part.. weld the last few tubes to the frame tomorrow. just got burnt out today finishing off the A pillars, that was a lot of work but its rock solid. all 3/16s plate boxed front and back and tied into all the corners with angle iron (cant see it in the pics cuz its all underneath the plate)
things have been moving a little bit slowed because im swamped at work again, plus iv been fabing a lot.. and the last thing i feel like doing after a long day of that is come home and do some more when its 105*F out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

also forgot to add, the cage didnt warp enough for me to fight anything, just pushed it around in a few spots with my big ass pry bar and that was it. also part of the delay on finish it was i had to get a new front windshield installed before i fully attached it (even though it should be able to be replaced with the cage on). i was leaning against the window reattaching the A pillars after i put the cage back on and i felt the window pop, sure enough that was it. didnt even really have much weight against it, think maybe since it was so hot out it let loose easily.
but at least i have a fresh unscratched and un pitted window. pretty stoked on that.
