Ya harbor freight roller with swag 1 3/4 die kit. About 400$ all said and done. Totally worth it. But it takes a lot of effort and still has some flaws that need to be addressed. If you get one be sure to get lots of extra bearing. I blew 2 up already. I plan on machining some umhw or bronze bushings for it instead. No need to have bearings in my opinion

thanks for all the compliments everyone
![]() im at the point of being so sick of working with tubing no amount of money could make me even think about starting another one, at least at the moment. if i had a shop with all the correct tools to pull off the tricky stuff more easily then it would be a completely different scenario.

ridiculously clean build man! 2 days before you posted the pics of your a-pillar tie-in's, I started a thread on them haha Yours are pretty much what I was shooting to do on my turd, since a tube all the way to the rocker is just not feasible, in a clean fashon. You have any pics with the fender off? Since you've done them that way, anything you would do differently?

i dont think ill roll it that would be really shitty.. i doubt im gonna get that crazy. i will accept light flops though. come to far with this truck to be a total jack ass driver with it. ill wheel it hard but i dont have the beater exo hammer down mindset.
and ya stinkbomb i saw your thread. mine turned out exactly how i wanted it to. i should have take some mid shots of it before i capped it off. its got some layers to it, and its hard to tell with just the before and after pics. just remember you have to leave numerous holes for the water to release out of the cowel, thats why in the pics you see a few holes where i stopped welding, and also that unfinished looking triangle looking part lots of water drains out of that. not sure how good you are at welding, but i hope your decent cuz i wouldn't recommend it to a mediocre welder, its a pain to weld that sheet metal. theres also a few sections where its double sheet metal thick so it will burn through the first layer, and then blow up in your face then finally fuse to the second layer. also be really careful with all the wires in the kick pannel section of the cab since most of them are right against the body where your welding, you'll toast all that shit if you dont be careful. on most of the parts where i was welding to the body i would weld a few inches then hit it with the hose so it wouldnt get to ridiculously hot, i did melt some plastic tabs on the inside of the cab. it would be a bummer to forget about all that and realize all the insulation on your harness wires got burnt off. and no i dont have any more pics, and i didnt take the fender off, i did all of it with it pulled partially outward, thats why the welds look sloppy cuz a lot of it was hard to get at.

Good deal. Thanks for the response, I'm gonna toss around ideas for a week and decide. I would definitely use a load plate(spread plate, whatever you call it), and tie as much sheet metal together as possible. And ya, my "fender adjustment bolts", while tacking them on I managed to catch the factory foam in the kick panels on fire haha

i still used a standard bender, its not probable to roll everything.
heres some highlighting on more of the subtle parts of the cage that might not stand out as much, but made it form fitting. all the blue spots are rolled sections, also the highlighted lenght is true to the piece. a lot of these labeled spots were sleeved to other pieces.. either other bends, or straight pieces. these are only a few spots, not gonna bother with the obvious bends, and rolls.

Dear god please stop!!! Its making me wanna build another so bad, but id never be able to reproduce any of the 'style' uve got in this build. I can weld and fab all day long(along w hundreds of guys here on pirate) but uve taken it to a whole nother level w the artistic approach to the tubing and the extra effort in the skidplate and rock lights, The way the front bumper tucks into and hides behind the front fenders, rear frame holes, tieing the exo into the A pillar sheet metal, etc, etc... U and mossyrocks are on the podium for coolest non buggy type builds on pirate( im a little toyota biased, but nevertheless). Amazing. What do u do for a living ?
