2 Reasons for the tank behind the passenger seat and next to / infront of the kid, 1 I am heavier than my wife so the gas and tank will help keep the weight ballanced 50/50 left to right 2 the ass is built short to make sure I ended up with at least a 90 deg approach and departure angles.

Smart call on the approach and departure, I can't wait to run links for that very reason. Baby on the way so I'm sure I'll run leafs for a while.

Looking great, bro! You are a building fool!
It would take me years to accomplish what you've done in a month!

I got a Ideal tire knife with a ton of blades for $60 shipped. I see them up for grabs fairly often.

Thanks guys I found it on Ebay.
I need to send a Big thanks to scotty at addicted Offroad, he is one dedicated guy its after hours and I pm him a list of parts expecting to hear from him in the mourning. Nope he gets back to me in five minutes and took my order. Top notch customer service, if you are ordering Trail gear parts he is the guy to deal with. Tonights progress and a little tech I figured out my radiator hoses, ended up with the factory lower on top and modified the lower using a cut from the stock upper and a peice of 1" scd 40 with a small bead welded around it getting rid of the factory horse shoe. ![]()

Yep regular 1" scd 40 pipe its a slip fit in the factory hoses, so I ran the small bead and will use new clamps on final assembly. I tried to make a fancy bend in the pipe but it flatened out to much because I don't have that small of a die for the bender, oh well.

Got dual cases today, need to clean up and take them apart someone didn't cut the shift rails and there is interference. Started building my track bar mount and thought damn this would look good with some dimple's in it. I am a cheap ass so I made a dimple tool out of a trailer ball and some scrap, then gave it a test run on some .125 plate.

The horse shoe is not part of the heating system. The tube for the heat comes out above the alt from the back of the water pump and are seperate. I will be deleting the two tubes for the heat when the motor is out. I can still adjust the alt with this setup, I am not sure how this would work with the rad in the factory spot as mine is forward and angled back to keep a low hoodline for better visability.

On that dimple die are you just using a press? Does it put the whole through it or do you have to grind out the center once it's pressed out? Excellent idea!

Precut a 1 3/8" hole with holesaw in the drill press, then 12ton HF press to do the dimple. its a 2" ball with a 1/2" thick ring made from 3" x .500 wall dom and a short piece of scd 40 to keep it from kicking out of the press. There should be a 1/16" gap between the 2 rings when they are stacked together. The bottom of the die is another 1/2" thick 3" x .500 dom ring pressed on to a short piece of 2" .250 wall dom then welded around the inner ring ( I need to add a little more weld to even it up, I made this real quick just to see if it would work) and a piece of 1/4" plate welded to the bottom of the 2" so you can flip the die to flatten the work piece back out after the dimple. I hope that makes sense.
Fixed the dual cases tonight just like I thought who ever put them together didn't cut the shift rail and while I was doing that the kid was building boxes to ship my wheels out to get beadlocked on monday. ![]()

Went on a wild goose chase yesterday to look at a 2rz that was really a 22re in maryland so on the way back me and the kid hit the international motorcycle show.
![]() ![]() Went for another drive this mourning and scored a 3/4 set of 39.5 tsl's so the old ones are for sale in the tires and wheels section. ![]() ![]() Pulled the old single case out and swapped the mount on and switched the flanges around to run the old front shaft in back, waiting on a box from ruffstuff to finish the mount before it goes back in. ![]() Then spent an hour looking at the back what do you guys think about these lines plus a bar from x-x?

With the X over her she has 6" of clearance with her helmet on, so she has some room to grow.

Came home to find my craptastic header showed up, so I had to throw it on.
![]() ![]() Then I knocked out the rear roof section, there will be one more bar from the sunrise to the X but it was 8:00 and I forgot to eat today so I called it quits.

Can you get a few detailed shoots of the clearance of the header by the tran's. I'd love to run a header again bu no dam way a long tube will fit. That shorty might be able to be cut and rewelded to fit.
