Toyota fiberglass
Opinions on the highclerance fenders? I was probing my truck a little and found alot of rust in the rear quarters.. I have a cut up rear section I was going to use to stretch my wheelbase, but upon looking on toyotafiberglass there highclerance fenders look like they will let me move my axle back about 4" and be fine and give me a better departure.. Besides the kind of lame wheel openings that I hope to fill with 42s, and looks like it would keep truck street legal with the oversized flares, are there any other downfalls?

Tough repairs and you can't weld to them. Just don't crack them. Those are obvious though...

I have fiberglass front fenders you will be surprised how much theses thing will flex before any cracking happens. Its easier to me to just put some layers of fiberglass down and bondo then welding sheet metal but i suck with getting sheetmetal to look good.Down side is that fiberglass is expensive; I only got the fenders because i noticed a thread on here for a 4runner for sale. It had the fenders then they were taken off in other pics.I pmd the guy and turned out one of the fenders were in 2 1/2 pieces from a flop and he did and did not want to bother fixing it.So got them for 200 shipped. If they were any more i would not even think about it. Anyways sorry for the long story. I have never done fiberglass before and got the fender to look good as new in a few days.
