East Coast winch bumpers?

Who makes bumpers on the east coast. I am looking for a winch bumper and am not sold on the smittybuilt or ARB or TJM.

Not to sound obvious, but I'd suggest building your own.
It will be cheaper and you can really design it to your own preferences. Other than that I would check out a local weld/fab shop if you don't have the resources that you need to make it yourself. Take in a picture of what you want and I'm sure that they can come up with something similar for less money than you would buy ARB, etc GOOD LUCK!

yea, which one? like i was telling you earlier mudshack, hopefully by the end of spring i'll have my garage done and you can come down and we'll play with the welder and stuff. don't worry, we'll practice on mine since i only have 450 dollars into right now.

These guys are in Georgia, fairly slow getting anything built, but if you pester them enough they'll get you something:

I know a guy that rear ended someone at about 20 mph and it just destroyed his TJM bumper..... after seeing that I would avoid them.

Although I do love the way they did my bumper, their customer service IS BY FAR THEE WORST I HAVE EVEEEEEEEEER DEALT WITH!

They promised my bumper in 2 mths.......8 mths. later I finally got it after being told countless times that it had been finished, was ready for shipment, then told by someone else that the thing wasn't started, then told that the tubing they got from their supplier wasn't any good, then told it was shipped, then 2 wks later find out it's still on the dock. Then given a tracking# that wasn't any good. find out that this company has had problems with the BBB. OH yeah did I mention that I finally got it.
They shipped the damn thing in bubble wrap and cardboard. It weighs over 130lbs. It had been dropped on one of the brush guard uprights bending it over to one side.

How do you know without buying and trying? I mean, shouldn't I be buying a bumper for an 86 runner? How much did you change in the geometry of the stock bumper? I know you started to tell me the other night, but I was thinking about a very hungry 1 year old in the car.

Actually some of the other things like rear bumpers and sliders look pretty good, I would hope he's made better front bumper than that. Wonder what that pig weighs?

Long story short ....do a search on them. They suck. They built me a $400.00 piece of shit. It did not fit (brackets were off by 2inches) hung down low as hell...... Then they said I could return it and get my money back with a restocking charge. They never sent my money back.

Allpro and Rockstomper make awesome stuff. I would not worry that they are not on the east coast that is why we have shipping companys.

I'm not sure what it is that you don't like about that front bumper, but it is very nice. Maybe it's the lousy picture. You should see it in front of you all completed and the winch mounted, it's a work of art. But yeah the rear bumper is much better, I keep begging him to sell it to me.
