Post ScottD!

Hey, I wanna hook up one of these weekends and do some work on the truck. Basically I'm using you for your tools and friends
In the next 3 weeks or so, putting 33s on, regearing, tub the rear fender a bit more (gonna require some sheet metal), relocate the rear shock mounts, add a support bracket or two to my rear tube bumper, and make some kind of plate steel skid plate from the front frame crossmember to the T-case.
Wadda ya think? Basically a bunch of small welding jobs, should be a one day kinda thing.

Pazuzu, Yeah I'e got no problem doing that, I'd love to help out...Only problem is...the shop isn't mine, it's my buddy's. (Dave) So, he has to OK it, and any tool/expertise rental is up to him. It kinda puts me in an awkward position unless you know Dave as well...But, I'll help out in any way I can.

Mark,
Thats OK, I added up costs for Phoenix and figured if I could get a job down here for $2/hr less, then I would come out the same. Plus, it's less hassle to live-work in the same town So, I went out ad got a job today!! Now I can start getting back on my feet again.

So, are we doing Armageddon on Sat?

Ya, I know. No hurry. Some of the fabbing can be done anywhere, I got lots of room at my place now, but it's exposed and dirt. I don't know what you have yourself (grinder, sawsall, etc)...
Can you bend plate steel? I can't remember if Dave has a bender/press for that.

Who is this ScottD guy? Does he wheel?
I'm up for Armageddon Sat. Chalk up Anaconda to the list of trails done without snapping a birf. Can't say the same for body damage though. Jack and I now have matching dents on the passenger rear quarters.

Scott, real glad to hear things are coming together for you! Armageddon is the plan this Saturday, I think Jack is going to put a post up sometime so the virtual wheelers will know what they're NOT doing

Sounds like the job you were talking about yesterday came through! Sorry to say if you are doing side jobs on the weekend now - looks like you've got more work next weekend instead of wheeling? I'm ready for tile when you are.

I am 28. And it's not too bad either. I can drop $10,000 into a rig without a problem. With no fear of breaking it.
