i used the sanderson headers in my Zuk conversion. used 700r4, truck t-case, & axles. the Zuk frame is only 23+" wide so i had to heat the tubes up and bend them in even farther (extreme block-huggers). to help clearance with trans pan and frame i cut the collectors off, bought mandrel bent tubing and fab'd up a 1-piece header (u have to pull engine to get header off) that from the passenger side went forward, crossed under the pan, and "Y'd" into the driver side at 3" pipe. then took it all the way out at 3" with flowmaster muffler. sounds like V8 up to about 1500 RPM.
