Sounds like the same problem that my steering gear has developed. Leaking p/s fluid from the seal where the steering intermediate shaft couples to the steering box. Let me know if you find an easy fix.
It is a very common leak. The box should have been re-sealed when it was put back together. I am one of those people that believe after a shaft has been pulled from a seal, a new seal is in order!!!! :grinpimp:
anyone know the part numbers to the 3 large needle bearings that are located in the cross shaft area & inside the cap?
Number stamped on the bearing housing is
7E - HKS - 35X44X30
Not sure if that means anything???
