the transmission on my mom's blazer is going out and she was thinking about trading it in instead of having the tranny rebuilt. i figured somebody on here would probably want it for the motor, but didn't know how much it'd go for. how much could she expect to get? its a 93 blazer with auto (700r4 i believe).

Depending on how many miles and how much work has been done to it, I'd let it go for about $200-250.
If it has the plastic "Vortec" cover on it, its CPI (Central Port Injection). These motors made about 200hp stock. They are pretty stout but the main weakness is the Fuel injection components inside. The tranny is a 700-R4, They ran those until 1994 or 1995. They were later replaced with the 4L60E (the same trans but electronically controlled)
