My uncle has an 84 toyota x-cab 4x4 with a 22-R engine (carb). I have looked and cannot find the check connecter plugs. They are nowhere to be found. Also there is a second cannistor by the fan. Is there supposed to be two charcoal cannistors? I have heard that this might be a canadain truck would that explain the lack of check connectors and 2 cannistors. I have a 85 with a 22RE and his engine looks nothing like mine.
The Federal had two charcoal canisters. Canada only had one. Last time I checked, there was no "check connector" as such on a 22R. I believe on the '85 RE it was located on the left hand side inner fender (two capped plugs).
