WhenI turn my key to the on position I can hear my fuel pump running. My afm door is shut and the truck has no codes. The truck will start on first try when cold. It dies when warm. If I restart it will act like it is flooded. I asume that the pump problem is the reason for the hard start. TPS checks out ok,cold start injector ok, no vacum leaks, fresh tune up. I have searched and read 20 threads about similar problems but nobody posts up about the fix they found. Where do I go from here?
Any chance someone has the fuel pump test jumper installed?
Engine will not flood with the pump running, unless of course the cold start or regular injector staying on. Excess fuel is just sent back to the tank via the fuel pressure regulator. I ran mine for about 4 years w/ the test jumper installed, worked fine.
