i took my truck to get smogged today. it is an 89 toyota with a 3.0 v6. it failed all the emissions test. they told me the truck was running rich, had a minor misfire. i found the source for the misfire i think. one of my sparkplug wires had a cut in it. could that also be why it is running rich? do you have any other ideas or suggestions of what i can do to get it to pass?
My 86 has failed a total of 16 times since 1996.... when i bought it and took it to get it smogged it again failed and wass even a Gross polluter.... a brand new cat, a double doce of that guranteed to pass stuff from kragen, and a few "missed" spots welding that cat on later it passed and every gas was even below average and i live in one of the strictised smog areas in CA.....just make sure after u weld up ur exhaust leak after
