i got a 91 toyota pickup with stock 4.10's and 22re. i have a chance to get a set of 33x10.5 bfg at/ko's for a good price but i was wondering how bad the power loss and mpg will be. i plan on adding 4.88's soo enough but i will be running the 4.10 for a few months yet.
I have been running 35" trxus with 4.10s and a 22re driving 70 miles a day since August of last yr. Its not too bad, I can cruise on straightaways at 75-80, but takes a couple minutes to get there. It is annoying so I am regearing in a month or so.
I have a sputtering POS 22re and i can pull 90 somtimes on the freeway with 33X12.50's. My truck must be a freak or somthing because I use 5th all the time.
Power is ok, but I have a decent little 22re. I commute to school everyday on this truck with 33 12.50 TSL's and I get around 16.5mpg. This is with 4.88's doing 70(3000rpm).
I had a buddy that had 35 12.50 procomps mt's, he didn't rub at all, he had 10 in rims.
