Wink marlin come thru BIG TIME!!!

as you know i broke the 4.7 gear in my dual tcase. sent it back to marlin on wensday and he built me a brand new dual ultimate. it is being driven over to me right now. WOW !!!! hell i haven't even unloaded my truck off the trailer yet and he already has me a new gear and case.

in case you are wondering he thinks that there may have been a problem with the heat treatment on my gear.

What is this "cult like" Marlin following?
Do you honestly think that if camo was not the moderator of one of the biggest Toyota boards on the net that he would have gotten the same treatment? I DON'T THINK SO!
I'm glad camo was taken care of, but if it was anyone else, Marlin would have promised to exchange the gearset ONLY and then MAYBE in the next 6 months he would have come through.
Everyone on this board that has done business with Marlin knows I'm right.
I HOPE this is an example of Marlin trying to change his reputation. BUT I DOUBT IT!
I still say, unless I see ALOT more of this kind of customer service, Marlin!

So how do you really feel about this John?

I'm not part of any Marlin-Cult, but I've seen Marlin go WAY out of his way to help a LOT of people. He gets my thumbs up, and I'll continue to use his products.

If you don't like the wait times he sometime has, fine... there are alternatives on the market. Go to them, so I can get my stuff faster

Marlin is somtimes slow but I know that he had product ready to go when this happened.Sometimes it takes 6 months to get the gears sets in.I've been waiting 8 months for my cruiser stuff.Theres only one Marlin and thousands of us.He' THE MAN the OC(oringal crawla) with three boxes and two gear sets- You an't sh!t. I've seen his new truck and its bad ass. I've known Marlin sence 96.He's picked a good town to have a busness in.PLUS Marlin is to busy to play on POR when he needs to be on SRC so we can get it this thing on.
I'll be seeing you guys soon!
BTW I hope Marlin makes a MARLIN CRAWLER CULT t-shirt with a little turttle laying eggs or somthing.

Nothing against marlin, but if you want his product your going to have to wait, and wait for a long time. I ordered a duel case with 4:1 gears, told him i was taking a week off of work to finish my ride and it needed to be ready when he promised. well the day came and i called before i drove down there, big surprise, it wasnt ready. i would have been faulked if it werent for the guy at jeep eater. i called him and he built a case for me in two days. Jeep eater is local for me two. Marlins product is great, but i know no one else would have gotten that service.

Ummm. It ain't fast food guys. I waited 1 month for mine, my brother waited 6 weeks, my buddy Scott waited 1 week, and another buddy, Jimmy, waited a week. Order early, and give yourself plenty of time, and you will be soooo happy with the product. Chalk one up on the happy customer side of the legder.

Sucks that so many of you have had bad experiances with Marlin! I have personlly purchased 5 adapter plates from him. The first 2 he personally drove up to me in Folsom and spent about 1 1/2 with me laying it out and explaining it exactly! A few days later when I put mine together my spud shaft was a 23 spine instead of 21, so Marlin being Marlin drove it from FRESNO where he is 3 hours to me in folsom and swapped it out for me! Not a problem he always says. The last three I bought over the past two years for friends and it was never a problem the adapters were always there in 2-7 days. My roommate(PEYLON on the BB) just ordered a Marlink(Tierod) set on a tuesday and it was on the doorstep the NEXT DAY! I have talked to Marlin on a regualar basis, The problem is not with him, but the company who makes the adapters for him(AA Advanced Adapters) They give him a backseat and don't seem to really care about his bussiness. He knows that he falls behind, but it is really out of his hands. So in the future be patient and he will come through. If you really can't wait get a similar, but not as well built unit such as an inchworm plate or an AA single bearing plate! I have seen all three plates and even a slo-motion adapter, none are as well built and desinged as MARLINS. So all you who are knocking the man;; go piss in a head wind!

fact: marlins prouducts are top notch

fact: often marlin gets over booked and he can't ship products quickly.

fact: marlin will go out of his way to help his customers. (probally leading to him getting overextended and making the next guy wait.)

again there have been plenty of marlin flame post but this is not one of them. the man came thru for me and i appreciate it.
