A friend of mine installed a 21RU 4 cylinder in his Toyota truck from one of those companies that import engines from junkyards in Japan. It must have been in some kind of 4x4 because he got it with a trans and T case attached to it. Can anyone give me the specs for this beast? So far I've only found a picture of a 1980 Hilux in Iceland that seems to have this engine in it

just a used jap motor. low compression low horse power

i had one and they work ok

is the factory replacement motor for the 20R motor.

Yep" I got one of them. Anti-torque motors.

I had to take it out and install a 22r. I still don't know what to do with it.

Camo said it- they are the imported versions- I saw one in a junkyard pickup and had the same question.
