he can always upgrade though. at least getting fullwidths in for a reasonable price is a step in the right direction.

Having been there, I'd just find a 35 spline axle to build. In my eyes it's pointless to put any money into a rear end that would have very few reusable parts. Have a friend who did the same, but junked the 60 in favor of a 70.

Nothing is set in stone. Dropping the 60 for a 14blt or 70 is not out of the question. Wish I still had the single wheel 70 that I had sitting a few years ago, but then that is the way it goes. The axels (60s) are a set and I had to take them both with most of the truck as well. I have not completly investigated the condition of the parts yet, it may all be junk.

I know how that goes. Mine came out of an abandoned 2wd 73 wood truck. $100 out of a impound yard. All or nothing A couple spare tires and the rear end was the only used parts, rest went to recycler. Another point is the limited gears for a 14 bolt. Usually more than enough, but they stop at 5.38's as far as I know.

The sleeved tie rod and drag link work great, I am not sure the rod ends would hold up under larger tires though.

Quick update, getting ready to paint, tubbing the firewall and plumbing in the oba. Will finnish paint when all the welding is done with new cage and seating for the boys in the back, a pass through is still being considered.

Paint, tubbed firewall, and ac to oba conversion done. The little air tank is not the final but it works for now.

Still need to finnish the new engine, and the one ton 60s still may be in the future.

The truck looks sharp with the new paint. I have some major work that is about to happen with mine. I pulled the motor and am getting ready for the EFI engine swap. I'll get the OBA done as well. I would reall like to 3 link the front end also, but I'll see if there is money for it. Been busy getting ready for winter so not much time for the truck, but winter is really long.........and will be a great time for the truck.

i saw it on CL!?!? why dude?

if you are selling, you have any G54 parts or whole trannies left over? the "replacement" i just bought is total garbage. i might be able to piece it together with some parts.

I do not use it much, dont have much for parts. May have a complete 22re with harness, computer, fuel system, and radiator. It may go with the truck so not sure right now. If it wont sell I will put in the back under cover and let it rot untill I have time for it.
