since they were designed well after the lock right they were able to learn from it. so there are slight changes that make it work better and the metalurgy is better...
Really? My cousin has one in his 4-runner and he had it in a 1st gen truck before that, I never heard his Aussie locker. He always said it was super quiet actually....quieter than a Detroit.
I got one on front and rear, no problem. There a guy here than been trying to destroy his aussie and been not able too. The service is great. I dont think any units been broken yet. at least six months ago not have been broken.
We have been using the Aussie Locker in a Toyota since they first came out, you can't hear anything, they work great, well worth the $$ and the service is the best you can get from a Co.. Superior to any other (like) locker out there.
Yep, Aussie Lockers are badass. I broke several chromo shafts and 27 spline birfs, hubs, and R&P's with the 4cyl Aussie up front. It worked like a champ. Had a 4cyl Lockright before that that stopped working right after 2 broken birfs. V6 Lockright worked great, though.
got an aussie in my rig. works great (not sure if it unlocks, as I don't drive in 2wd with the hubs locked much.)
