85 22re for some reason my alternator is not charging my battery? yes the battery is good and the alternator is brand new, i put it ony my DD and varified that it was good, my yota is reading 12.47 volts no matter what, it just runs off the battery until it dies, all the grounds are good... any ideas?:shaking:
simple troubleshooting should fix it. since you got a reading on the battery with a volt meter use the same meter to trace the voltage. just guessing id say your harness plugs are dirty , your connections in the fuse relay center are loose or broken or you blew a fuse. theres an 80 amp fuse on the fuse box , if im not mistaken (correct me if im wrong) that the alternator wire goes through to charge the battery. im not entirely sure if that fuse is the alt or if its the whole vehicle. im sure somebody knows. try to search in the faq and fsm for a diagram.
