I havent rolled this yet, but i braced the cage to the a pillar to keep it from flexing much and i made a poly windshield and riveted it on.Hopefully i can roll and not fuck it up to bad to where it doesnt distort the windshield frame becuase it will suck to make cut the window to fit it.

A couple years ago I watched a guy roll a 4Runner all the way over and back onto its wheels. He had an internal cage and the windshield remained intact. The sunroof broke though, and the top of the hood smashed down into the radiator.
Flopped my 4runner with lower exo and upper internal twice and cracked the windshield. Still chopped the top off after that but could have reinstalled. It would be a good idea to attach the a-pillar bar along the entire length or reinforce the a-pillar as this will likely determine if the windshield makes it or not. We do more damage to windshields around here by leaning into tress than rolling.
Save yourself alot of time...............build an F-toy:flipoff2:
Heywood had a tied-in cage similar to the one above and made it through several flops and maybe a roll before a hard back flip finally took out the glass.
White one has been flopped 4 or 5 times. 1 pretty good one on back door, hit the ledge right on the a pillar with no glass damage. Allpro cage that's a couple inches from the cab.
He's been on his side more times than I can count, and one really hard ass-over-nose roll, and the cage did it's job, but he did lose the windshield, and bent the frame. Even an exo is no guarantee, especially if you roll onto a pile of rocks.
My buddy rolled his 2nd gen toyota baja truck going about 45 mph. he has an internal cage. Rolled about 3 times landed on the wheels. The cage is tucked pretty tight with the roof, pillars ect. He didnt lose the windshield but rocks hit it several times and thus it was cracked. Not as bad as I would think considering how fast and hard he rolled. It is still possible to replace his with a straight windshield, he just hasnt because its non operation right now and spends his money on his crawler.
me too. two hard rolls broke on the first one, so pulled it out, put on the exo and havent looked back!!:smokin:
