any body running air shocks on a street legal rig? ive got a 88 4runner 3 link 91 4.3 700r4.my question is could i run air shocks on the front?its street leagle but only driven to and from the trail other than that it stays parked.
i have a three link on the rear running 41/2 inch tj coils.as far as driveability as long as it is remotly close to being streetable im game.i had coilovers on that i bought off of ebay and borke a shock shaft end off and bent the other shaft because of a broken lower link.it will cost more to rebuild them than it will to put a set of air shocks on
I drove my rig to work 20 miles 1-2 times a month without any problems. Thats taking all back roads though. I'm not sure how they would be at highway speeds but it was fine up to 45mph.
Thats with 4-link and 2.0 air shocks front and rear, 39.5 TSL's
Before I tuned them they would unload in the turns under power but tuning them fixed all of that.
thanks yotawatts you saw it on its madien voyage, still have some bugs to work out
