The previous owner drove the truck here, 22 re i have fire, new gas filter, new fuel pump, checked all the fuses , switched computer , yesterday it started i let it run for about 10 min after it would start again . What it does is it starts and dies right away now im at the point were im thinking there is something wrong with the injectors
see if it keeps running if somebody taps on the circuit open relay.
if you here a slapping under the hood when it shuts off, or at the end of cranking with no start, chech the afm.
check for a crack in the intake tube too.
If I remember right, running for three seconds means the fuel pump is running when you turn on the key but isn't staying running when the engine starts.
I bet one of your fuel pump relays isn't working properly.
When you turn the key on the fuel pump runs for a moment no matter what. Then it shuts off and should start back up when the pressure gets low after starting. There are at least two relays that control this.
I spent a bit of time pouring over the Haynes manual. (Ya I know they usually suck but it helped me get my truck running) It has a trouble shooting system in there for this problem. In my 88 there is one relay in the kick panel by the drivers left foot. The other one is high on the passenger side behind or beside the glove box. There may have been a third but I can't recall. Consult your manual for fuel pump relay info.
bring it to a shop. If you would have done that in the first place, you would be driving it around by now. Not to mention you would have saved money because they would fix the problem with only the needed part, instead of throwing every part you can think of at it.
