im just most familiar with that motor and i kno how they perform bc thats what i run in my tj. then waht swaps r cheap and make good power to turn a 60/14 bolt with 39.5's?
i would go with either the 7mge or the 5vz-fe... either is a great engine not only that they are very inexpensive as far as fi engine swaps go and because they are popular there are some big companies like ors, marlin, etc that make swap parts for vehicles. if you were running a v-6 then you are halfway done with a 5vz-fe swap... also you can look at the 3rz (2.7l 4 cyl) they are gaining popularity in the off road world, good luck
4.2 is a complete bolt in. Really. Right up to the L52 tranny and all. Should only take you 3-4 hours to get it working. Most overlooked swap out there.
ugh
