I broke a bunch of stock stud's and they were always tight and checked often. I went ARP and started breaking knuckle's always around the stud holes. My ram was limited and my steering stop's were boxed, everything hit at the same time. Stock shit just isnt meant for HA, add a stud or so and it level's the field.

point taken...definitely planning on adding an extra stud... then again.. you've managed to break D60 stuff with a 22re so that again proves that nothing is unbreakable...

Got a little work done on this pile here lately... realized that it was rediculous to have a set of mastercrafts chillin in the garage collecting grinder dust and be riding around on 25 year old seats... so I made up some brackets to mount the mastercrafts to the stock seat locations and use the stock belt until I can get a seat cage bent up and get the harnesses in.

Also during this process i stripped out the scuzzy ass carpet and found what I thought to be a small rust hole where your heel would hit if it was on the gas pedal... well after wire wheeling the floor and chipping up the tar soundproofing stuff on the floor it was a little more involved than I originally thought...

Also threw on a new set of calipers and pads and fixed the hardline mount that had broken. And finally capped the ends of my front bumper so I wont have to worry about wasps making a home in it this summer...

Bumping this back to the top since travel season for work is about over and Ill have a little bit of time and a few bux to throw at this thing this fall... Helped Dusty up here in Alaska over the last few weeks bending grinding and welding on the Kodiak Dodge which has gotten me amped about workin on my rig.

The spring was full with finishing up and moving into the new casa, so I didnt really get much done after scabbing together the seat brackets, floor, mounting and sealing the twin stick boot and welding up a quick release fire ext bracket and mounting it between the seats.

So the first step was to drink some beer to make template material...

Got the side panels sheared, and filled the rear corners where the marker lights will go. Did come cleanup on the sides of the frame and started the rough metal work for the tailgate. Next up is to build a tube frame for the tailgate, mount it to the hinges and skin it. Still need to figure out what style of latches to use. Anyhoo, Here's a couple of pix.

Definitely in the plans. I was looking at it last night to figure out how to do it and not make it look like some redneck just poked a hole through it... (truthfully that couldnt be any closer to the truth since Ill be doing the cutting)

But Im gonna do some tie down points/holes in the floor as well as the sides so maybe Ill oversize them a little and let them be drains as well...

Heading out to the garage now to work on the side panel fitment a little more and try to figure out how Im gonna weld on tabs in some of the fawked up spots.

Got my tabs and bolts in from Mcmaster Carr to mount the skins.

Heres what Ill be using. The flanged nuts will be used in places where I can through bolt the skins to the existing structure.
