rancho 5012's?

Hey does anybody remember how much they payed for their 5012's and if so where did you get them? I have an 85 4runner that I'm putting f250 towers on and I need the shocks to match.
Thanks.

rancho now makes a longer RS5000 might look into that, I really think you can fit it in there with ford mounts.

Yeah, but you can't run an RS5000 inverted. It's a dual/twin tube shock, and they don't work right inverted. That's with the can up, for clarification.... And you can't run shocks on the front of a toy can-down, since the hysteer arms would eat it for lunch. Which means you have to go either RS9000 _triple-tube) or to a monotube shock (bilstein).

I tried a pair of 5012s inverted up front. The RS5000 is supposed to be a firm shock, and it almost felt like I wasn't running ANY shocks. (Driven it that way, too). Bitch bounced all over the place on hillclimbs.

well he didnt say he was running high steer :-P 5000's would work great with standard crossover. However the bilsteins are a great idea, a little more expensive but you will keep these shocks for many years so its worth a little extra.

Well i have too and only have very, very small dents on the side of the can where the arms have touched the can. No big deal and they are working just fine....

I guess it's just the Kongs steering system's FAT steering arms then, or something? Are you all running AllPro or something else like that? Cause right after I posted that, I was over at a buddies house (he just cut the roof off his Toy) and noticed that he runs 5000s can-down with allpro stuff. Looked like he might have cut off the factory shock mounts and inboarded them a little, though. I forgot to ask him. What's the deal?

I also have a u-bolt flip...maybe I just lucked out the way it all just fit right???...
There are also a couple of other trucks in town that run the same setup without inverted shocks...

I have been running 9012's with Marlin Hy-Steer about 4 years with out a problem of my shocks hitting the arms. My arms are the early A-P welded steel arms.
