80 20r CA Vacumm Diagram

Hey guys,

I need a Diagram for a 1980 20r Ca emission setup

I took the carb off , Cleaned it, Changed the float and upper gasket and put it back on the truck.

when i put it back on and started it with only the vac advance hooked up it was running. a little bogging when stepped on the gas but thats about all ( figured it was because all the others werent hooked up)

so i got a hold of a Haynes manual. followed the ca diagram and now the truck wont idle ....

when it starts i have to keep my foot on the gas or it will die.

spend $25 & get the book
you should buy one the day you buy the truck

I have the haynes manual. That's the problem. The truck was fine without the vacuum lines hooked up. Now when i followed exactly what that book said .. the truck wont idle now....

Thanks for the link, ill try over there.

I'm new to the forum.. not the world of google .. Of course i googled before i made this post. what did you find when you searched for that ? because all i got was 1984 and later 22re manuals .

the one manual i found that said it was for 1979-85 had nothing about the 20r in there http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/index.html

wouldn't an 80 20r not have to pass emissions anyways?

80 20R CA Vacumm Diagram

Well did that work for you? seabass & dirtchicken were awfully harsh, hope they diddn;t sour your taste on this, usually helpful forum. There's usually 10% jerks in any one place, too bad you had to be greeted by both of em on your first post. I'd like to give them my famous Marine Corps welcome, one at a time or both at once. Good luck to YOU lad.

Nizmoh, if you're still watching this thread, I just updated my post above with a much better/clearer picture. If you take this image to a print shop they might be able to make you a new one.
