I just got myself a used set of DCOE's but the carb bodies are real dirty. I plan on taking the carbs apart to rebuild them but is there something I can soak the bodies in to get them perfectly clean? Some say oven cleaner with pressure washer but that doesn't work the greatest. I want these carbs spotless so anyone have any ideas? Maybe hot tank them? Thanks
Napa sells a solvent & bucket for dipping carbs to clean them. This stuff is awesome!!! The bucket just says Napa Carb Cleaner on it. It is definately different then 2+2 though.
dip them in acid.. it will enlarge all the pasages and flow alot more fuel! dont forget to put on a bigger exhaust tip to maximise performance.. :flipoff2:
Dissassemble them, soak in a bucket of carb solvent for 12 hours. Flush with freshwater, to inlcude all ports and passages. Blow dry with air, including all ports and passages. Reassemble .
