I plan on putting an old Mazda truck body on an 84 Toy frame. I plan on 38.5x16-15 M/T Baja Claws Will the 5 speed, and 22r push the tires at decent speeds. Should 5.29s be the ratio of choice. The truck will be a daily driver, and I am just worried if the tires will be too much to push around town. Any help would be great. Thanks

And you're using that body why?

Also makes a difference on what your idea of decent speed is.....

I'm getting used to running in the right lane doing 50-55 with my buick v6, th350, and 5.29's on 35 ats every day.....gotta keep gas down somehow.....

Since 5.29s are the correct gearing for 35's, sure, 5.71s would be preferable. But you are pushing around a hell of alot more weight with that setup, so as the other guys mentioned, you're gonna have to get used to being slow. But it can be done
