What type of limited slip does he have in the rear? He trys telling me that he has a locker, but i couldve sworn its just a limited slip back there. when weve gone offroading, i see it acting like a limited slip, not a locker. its a 2000 Tacoma TRD 2 wheel drive. he actually just ordered an arb air locker for the rear...but thats besides the point.
The people on this board do know their sheit, there is no LSD. The TRD trucks do have a locker in rear diff with a switch to the left of the steering wheel under the left vent that says RR Diff Lock.
unless its a 4 cyl. only the V6 pre runners got a rear locker with the TRD package. Also you cant get a V6 in a regular cab prerunner but you could get the 4cyl in the extended cab.
Is it possible that he had one installed that is not electric? Jack the ass end of it up and turn one of the tires. If the opposite side turns the same dirrection he has a locker. easy as that.
look @ the rear diff. If it has a square box on the top w' wires going into it he has the e-locker. but w/ a 4cyl, unless he put one in after he bought the truck you can probably tell him hes full of it.
