Hey. I was looking around a wrecking yard yesterday and found a pair of rear plastic panels for the cargo area out of a 86 4runner. These will fit my '85 no probs right? One other Q. Did all the 84-89 4runner come with 4" speaker openings in the rear panels? I ask becuase mine have holes cut in them for 6x9's and they look like shit. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
My 85 sr5 4 runner only has 2 places for speakers in the rear, not 4. The speakers themselves are small (something 4-1/2") but have these weird power boosters built into the speakers....
And those front ones are some tiny suckers..
Looked in Crutchfield, and other places.. everyone wanted $$$$ for speakers designed to fit the opening...
I jsut bought some that were close, cut two of the four corners off of each, bent one corner, and voila! new 200w speakers in the front stock location...
How much Booger? Guy in town will gimme them for $30 out the door. If you wanna get them to my doorstep for cheaper, I'll takem off your hands. Thanks for the offer.
If you're looking for great sound up front. Cut out 6 1/2" holes in your doors and use Infinity Reference speakers. They are really nice quality and sound like some Bose BS. They're only like $50 on ebay too.

I hear that. Shipping would be a pain in the a$$ though and I'm sure you dont wanna deal with it. $30 isn't a bad price anyways. The panels are in good condition. Thanks though Booger.
i would give you 24:beer: if thay were tan. my runner didn't even come with a back seat it had a plate were the seat went it was a utility runner any one got some tan ones for me

They'll take paint if you clean them before hand. When I bobbed mine and narrowed the door I just used some spray bomb and it's still stuck. Chances are you could find a real close color at Home Depot or get a custom matched can made at an auto color house.
NAPA carries Martin Senoir vinyl spray paint in a brown that is almost an exact match for stock. I've used it to turn a clinometer cover from grey to brown, and also the rear cargo panels. Works very well..
If none of these guys take them I'm interested. I'm looking for the panels for both sides of the gargo area behind the rear seat. The trim above them that covers the top's bolts too.
fourwd1!!! I'm going to pickup my new panels for my cargo area sometime this week. If you wanna pay the shipping and packaging I'll send them off to ya. I wont charge ya anything. The both have pretty jagged 6x9 holes in them. But hey, shitty panels are better than no panels. PM me.
Im looking for the same rear panels ill pay for the  , the panels and the shipping to vegas 89014 zip code
