I paid about $80 including shipping for a TPS from www.toyotaparts4u.com last year. Another online dealer you might want to get a quote from is http://www.toyotaguys.com/ They ship for free and usually match/beat other online dealers.

i start it up it idles around 1200 rpm until its warm. then it idles anywhere from 250 to 1000 rpm when its warm. occasionally it'll just stall out when i'm coming to a stop. when i tested the computer i was getting a code 11. and since i don't have a/c on my truck i figured its the tps.
today i took the whole intake a part. i took the tps apart and looked inside. the ceramic disc is i really good shape. the brushes are still in contact and nothing is broken. so i ran a few tests with my really crappy volt meter. they seemed to check out alright exept the idl- e2 test. but i think its my voltmeter. so i cleaned everything really good and hot glued the top back in place. i took the rest of the intake a part and cleaned it really good. amazingly i have been running a k&n filter for over a year and its still really clean in the intake . so i reasembled everything replaced a few missing bolts that were missing from the previous owner and fixed any air leaks. my pcv hose was all cracked and sucking lots of air. hooked it all up and the idle was at 1100 rpm. its about 40 degrees out side. so i let it warm up for a few minutes and it dropped to 800 rpm and purred there. i took it for a spin, came back and it was still idling perfect. no more erratic idling. so somehow its fixed.
i'm letting it sit over night with the efi fuse pulled and will drive it around tomarrow and see how it does. and then i will report back!
oh, i was also getting really crappy mileage. i have 32" tires and usually get around 20 mpg. during the last week it dropped to almost 10 mpg.
so with another tank of gas i'll check my mileage again!

What fixed your eratic idle? pcv or tps?
I'm searching on how toi adjust the tps 1990 3.0L
my idle was fine for 1st 2weeks I owned the truck, now it's intermintent idles at 1200 or so, hit breaks and it surges 600-1200 brrrrap brrrap brrrap, doesn't do this all the time, but 98% of the time.
found 3 causes,
#1 high idle, screw is cranked all the way in & is fine when the idle problem is not there.
#2coolent air bubble., I am replacing the radiator next week with new factory t-stat too. just replaced that bitty hose at back of block just below intake, $14, 3" u shape several hours without removing anything else :mad3:
#3 tps.looking for info
#4pcv valve, ain't checked yet
Hey Seabass I have a brand new radiator in my 90 4runner that I am parting out. Has only about 3 or 4 months usage. Also have the TPS if you end up needing one of those. Hell I will sell you the hole throttle body and you will not have to adjust anything. I lent it to my brother while I was in Iraq and he blew the engine.
Anyways, I just picked up a 85 throttle body with the TPS on it for $30 shipped off of ebay.
