i am installing a tilt o meeter from a tercel 4x4 and the light has a green w/ red strip and a green w/ yellow strip what one should be ground and witch hot ? i can switch them and thay will make the the light go on any way i do them but i am sure there is a corect way to do them.thanx
A simple bulb is not polarity sensitive. But if any metal in the meter is grounded to the chassis and its metal watch out. If one of the wire is touching metal at any point other than the bulb casing thats the ground wire.
the tercel one dosenot have a altimiter it just has the 2 tilters and a 4 wheeldrive indicater. but it was the same color as my dash.the tercel has a little deeper dash so the meter has about 1/8" gap between the meter and the dash.works for me and it was only $10.00 at PNP
