This is the last rebuild.......besides a v8. Still has the 22re and dual cases. Swapped to rockwells and 44s with double tri. 4 link rear and wishbone front. Originally setup the rear for 1/4 ellip, ended up getting 4 swayaways (16x2"s), so those will get installed. Shooting to finish by the 1st of the year, in time for some fun in the snow.
I finished the previous version in May, blew some d44 joints and dented A LOT of sheetmetal. It worked well but all of the weight was in the wrong place (up high). I wish I would have weighed it before so I could see the difference now. This is what I've wanted to do all along anyways, so I'm a happy camper. Plus I got a real good deal on the axles.

What do I need that stuff for?? I have goggles!!
Seriously though, I will probably adapt the jeep bikini top I was using before to this and may try to use some lexan for a windshield. Not sure yet.

Here's one where I just rolled the tsl's in front to look like they are mounted. The front is actually on stilts in the pictures. The outer/lower links are done, but I'm waiting on my bushing joints to do the wishbone.
I still have to get a front rotor and hook up front/rear calipers. Hook up steering, front driveshaft and fuel cell. And lots of little stuff. I was shooting for a 12/6 trip to Paragon, but it got cancelled so I'm just taking my time. Might as well do it all right the first time.
Good grief that's insane! What's the wheel base on that thing and how wide is it? Why not run 46 inch michelin XML's? What wheels are you running 1 piece or two? I'd like to get some one piece wheels but I can't seem to find any yet. I take it you are running the hubs flipped out still? Get some pics of the suspension. I can't believe you totally hacked up the 4runner like that! Awesome and unique, I'd give it two thumbs up! Get some close up pics ok?

Thanks for the compliments man. The wheelbase is 113", the width will end up at 91". The hubs are flipped in. But the wheels on there in the pics are the dually wheels flipped out, the ones with negative backspacing. I'd like to run the xml's but they're just as hard to find over here as they are over there. Then you have to find the one piece wheels. I've got custom centers and 15x10 shells coming from fj junkie. How wide are you with the 39s??
To WIDE! hahaha That's why I'm getting rid of my 39.5's and the 15 diameter wheels. Around here it is good to be a little narrower. Anyway I'm going to get some of the 20 inch wheels and run as much back spacing as I can 5-6 inches until the hub just bearly sticks out past the tire. I may have to end up with the 49 inch michelins but I'd like to get the 46's instead. We'll see.
I dig it Sean. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice work. After seeing this... I'm going to have to charge you for the fuel cell pics and info. When you make it out west I will require a shotgun seat followed by a severe flogging of your sick rig as form of payment.

It's a PJ. Very nice IMHO. Call Big Rig Truck and Trailer and see what they have in stock. That is where I got it.
