taking a body lift off

when i bought my runner it had a 3 inch body lift. thats one of the first things i wanna loose. i bascially know everything that i need to do except when a body lift is done on one of theese trucks what has to be chaged (shifter,fan shroud,ect)

also does anyone know what size bolts i need to buy to replace the longer body lift ones. here is the truck,thanks for the help.

If its one of the high tech coil spring bodylifts leave it in there I hear they help the truck ride better.

my shop is 45 mins away then 20 mins to the harware store, sure would be a whole lot easier if someone could please tell me before i start working, thanks.

1) Take out body lift
2) Revise anything originally modified to accomodate body lift
3) Replace bolts with bolts shorter by the measurement of the body lift

check out roger's site for a reasonable price he can set you up with a smaller body lift and the hardware to boot.

obviously it'll cost more but you'll get it right the first time.
Or like others said get hardware 3" shorter.

ok yes i understand the getting shorter bolts. readjusting the fan shroud, however any pointers as to where to get the factory body mounts or which ones to replace them lift ones with? im in the same boat as mine came with a 3 inch body lift too and wanna remove it.
