nothing to do with the build, but I thought it was pretty badass... hammer for an excavator on our Puerto Rico job site...
![]() ![]() Actually got a laugh out of the boss with my line, "You'd need one hell of a hoe to take a hammer that size".... ![]() ![]() And my buddy Wes's fresh front 3-link SAS, D44, ORI's on 35s ![]() ... He 3-linked the rear a couple years ago too... maybe soon he'll start a build thread, he did a TON of work to the front end...

that was quick haha thanks and they're 3-1/4" long, 1-1/8" wide , each bend is 1" from the end, 45*, 5/8" hole on one end and something like 27/64" for the caliper bolt hole

Thanks for the inof. I've been trying to figure out something for my brake line since I got rid of the backing plate and those look like a good solution. Did you use a bender for the brake lines?

Got the bender all buttoned up tonight. Slept on the idea of making new spacers, then had a brain fart, more less just flipped my main pin pivot spacers around and it works perfect
Koup's bender, first bend - YouTube Decided to bend a 180*, just cause haha got it to 180* and noticed that the tail wasn't level with the floor... so it was like 190*ish. Had to beat it off the die with a mallet, wasn't that bad tho, but it works like a charm ![]() ![]() tubing will be here Friday, I won't get to work on it until Sunday afternoon, so Sunday night there will be toob on the truggy...pumpedddd

tonight after I finished the bender I did the lower coil retainers... I can't take the cake for the idea, Shane came up with the idea, I just went through with it haha here goes:
3/8" bolts, 4" long, bent into a hook then cut them ![]() ![]() then rounded the cuts up and wire wheeled them... next came tabs ![]() the whole little setup ![]() ![]() on the passenger side ![]() top view ![]() bottom ![]() and driver's side

Got my bronze spacers in, $20, knocks the hydro cylinder down to 5/8" from 1", that way the bolts match the link bolts and I don't have to carry any other odd ball wrenches on the trail
![]() ![]() and now for the durty wurk... High tech blueprint ![]() Wasn't fitting in the garage haha ![]() First fit of the hoop, needed some ratshit strap persuasion ![]() First part of the "x" ![]() Before the X was done, the hoop was a hair off plane, so I tacked one of the "bed" tubes to hold the right side where it was before I pulled the driver's side forward ![]() ![]() ![]() bent a little past 90*

![]() ![]() Finished the X ![]() Ratshit strapped the left side forward, off the rock ring haha ![]() ![]() and whipped up the left side bed tube ![]() ![]() Picture's crooked, not the truck ![]() ![]() I'm happy with how it came out, tomorrow night I'll finish the tube work and make a template for my tail lights and license plate between the bed tubes

Then last night Shane and Justin (Stranger ranger) came out and we hammered out some more work. Shane said he enjoys sheetmetal work (body shop owner), so I told him do what you want for the tunnel and floor, all I ask is that the floor has a hatch for the front and rear driveshaft bolts, e-brake and it's removable to pull the cases out from the top, on with the pics...
Added some 90's to fill in the gap between the tire and cab, and double as a crossmember for the fuel cell mount... Shane had Justin tacking all the tunnel and floor pieces in ![]() ![]() Used up the 180* I bent the night I first got the bender together for the fuel filler mount, going with a little go-fast look... bent it a little past 180, so I had to un-bend it haha ![]() perrrrrfect ![]() ![]() ![]() Fuel cell crossmember tacked in ![]() ![]() It's getting a few more tubes but I'm down to a 4' and 3-1/2' piece of tube leftover, so I'm gonna get my hydro assist buttoned up and by mid week I'll have another stick of tube or two and I can finish up the bed

couple shots of the floor
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() once it's cut and flanged to be removable, I'm going to wrap 1/8" plate around the back, so if for any reason the rear driveline lets go, I don't get a driveshaft up my ass...Then seats go back in and a patch goes over the holes in front of the driver's seat

haven't posted in a while, got a decent amount done, but it still hasn't driven, been super lazy last week or so... but here goes:
fuel pump, lines, etc...used an E2000 pump, all plastic line(for pressure(3/8") and return(5/16")), quick couplers, 3/8 JIC 90*s on cell, and 2 filters(foam in cell, thing of them as $3 in-case-shit precautionary filters, ruin a day of wheeling or a brand new fuel pump for cheaping out over $6 worth of filters?? I think not) ![]() ![]() JIC fitting on cell prior to ferrule trim ![]() first idea... notice the ferrule trimmed off the JIC fitting... ![]() changed my mind ![]() glad I changed my mind, fit perfect ![]() ![]() doesn't rub anywhere either ![]() Pops sandblasted and silver soldered a piece of 5/16" brake line to a piece of 3/16" brake line for the 5/16" plastic return line to mate to a piece of normal 3/8" rubber fuel hose to go into the JIC fitting into the cell, never took a pic, but it works! the 5/16" plastic line was a little tricky to get onto fittings, this method worked flawless... torch, old wheel cap, water... ![]() Tucked it all up along the top of m frame rail with the brake line

before the fuel lines, I made the cell mount
![]() left room for the flange on top of the steel can ![]() you get creative working alone ![]() ![]() tacked it on and a test fit of cell ![]() added support legs, ones too short, cut 3 of them... these fit the closest, it was a Sunday at 4pm, The short one was getting used haha ![]() glorious ![]() ![]() then I drooped the front to cut the front lock to lock to do the hydro cylinder... shocks bottomed out quickly... I'll run em for a while before I change em

then I pulled the rear back apart for the last time, got my adapter bearings so I could drop my welded v6 carrier into the 4cyl rear third got it to here, and it needed seals, it was the end of the night
![]() had to wait till next day for seals, they came in, got to the shop to find this ![]() so for 2 nights I wasn't about to throw any sparks or even work in the garage, the vette only has like 8k on it, so I took my power steering resi to work and modded it... added 2-3/8" to it, the ONLY thing I could find in the shop was a small piece of stainless...so I just tig'd it back together... found a couple shitty spots where I didnt get all the zinc coating off, ruined the tungsten right away, but I didn't really care what it looked like as long as it didn't leak... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() little size perspective of the weld ![]()

finished the square shaft for the front that night too
![]() ![]() Shane finished the tail light wiring...Used a NAPA 755-1086 Taillight Converter to use the stop/tail/turns on the Toyota harness, which I told him to cut it short and simplify it... he listens well and soldered and heat shrunk everything haha ![]() trying to get the engine bay back in order I got the PS cooler out of the way 1/8" x 1" strip ![]() test fit for drilling ![]() primed, painted and all hooked up and made sure the hoses didn't rub any sharp edges ![]() Rads back in, overflow barely fit back in, squirter bottle's in, new belts, power steering lines are done(except hydro ram lines) all misc wires are hooked up and I'm waiting on 2-3/4" hose from NAPA for my intake, since the factory one won't fit with 1" body lift(kinks upper rad hose over half shut)

before the power steering work and spool install I started the hydro ram mounting...
had to trim the bronze bushings down little over 1/4" ![]() cut out some brackets, made some nice long flat sections to spread the weld out ![]() Bent it to fit the 1-1/2" tie rod ![]() Poyfikt! perfect for a 1/4" fillet ![]() ![]() then the brackets I made from cardboard I copied at work, didn't work right, made new ones, didn't fit right again, then the plasma took a shit at work... so as it all went to shit, and frustration went through the roof, I stopped for the night, at 2am and moved on to the other shit the following day... gonna finish it either tomorrow night... or never haha

I'll update the build pics tomorrow, but on other exciting news, I sold my 3.4 swapped 94 DD and bought a 2000 F-250, V-10, lariat, super clean with 70k on it this past Friday... truck was well taken care of too
![]() It's not a PSD for a reason, I don't want a diesel and the headaches it brings with itself...jumped on it quick, put my blue truck on Craigslist Sunday of LAST week at like 11pm, next morning at 1030am, kid I know called and it was sold... was about to pull the trigger on an 08 tundra, crewmax, but couldn't justify spending $23k on a truck, picked up the stupid duty for $11,400(then Pops and myself put all new brakes on it Saturday, typical me and the dealer cut me a check for $450, cost me $150 to do brakes, not bad) ![]() the hood scoops and ponies on bedside are coming off, possibly the bug shield and I'm swapping an 05-07 grille/headlights/bumper on... I can get a clean chrome grille n perfect headlights off a buddy for $100, so why not?!?! haha
