mines in the back, his rig died on our way to wash state and I was not about to waste the empty space in the back of the truck.

Here's mine even, yet another variation of that basic Joe Chacon design that DRM and so many others have built.

Measuring tape!! If you are really going to build your own then you will have to measure. So go measure your own and make what you want.

out of curiosity, did you ever narrow that front or adjust teh spring perches/spring hangers so it was evenly mounted under the truck or does the left front tire still stick out 3 inches farther than the right?

BTW, if ya take the smiley face out of the link the URL would work

Nope, I am a broke ass mofo, and didn't do shite to it. I was going to get a long side, shorten it, and extend the right 4" (approx) to make an equal track width. But until the scrilla scratch twenties start rollin in, I am stuck with it. I have wheeled it pretty good, and it hasn't failed me yet. I just had to critique my driving style

Check this link:
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...light=flatbeds

Post number 4 and 5 are what I was saying you should do with your existing flat bed.
Throw some diamond plate on the bottom and tube the sides.

That one is nice.
