RockChango's Memorial Day trip off! High Lakes instead!

I and my "BAND OF MONKEYS" are stepping UP! No con trip.

I don't know if you guys remember or ever knew, but the Friends of the Rubicon is the group CURTIS of our club put together a few years back when a gate was proposed. HE worked his ASS off getting things going so someone else could take over (due to his illness) & at his request the trip has been cancelled. If anyone wants to go to the HighLakes that weekend with us, you are invited! I have never got all the way up there before, and being local it's hard to belive I just enjoy FourDyce & the Con so much, that's just where I go. So anyone going, please post up so I know how many steaks to bring!

If my steering is done i will go and break some shit with ya,we need to get the whole club together for a run, the high lakes are a great place to go, but there is going to be a bunch of slushy snow up here and its going to be muddy, Its bin warn up here and the snow is melting fast. but its still worth a shot to go, well it is for me since its my back yard

The high lakes are about 3 hours north of sac, there just above a town called paradise, and about 45 mins from chico.
well right now the wheeling is mostly snow, but during the summer months, its all rocks. There is a bunch of lakes you can drop in to. most of the trails a fairly hard, but a few ones are easier, and some are harder. It is a good place to camp, and do a bunch of wheeling.

seabass-Im not a monkey im an oranatane, or how ever its spelled.

Please stay on the trails, not necessarily your group Darren, but ever since that idiot tore up the meadow a couple years back, there have been more and more stringent restrictions every year! The conditions up there will be exactly the same as the con.

I'm going, but only for a day trip. Lets say 9:00am at the donut shop. Clear road all the way to Philbrook lake. After that it will be hit and miss the rest of the way in. I was going to go up there today and scout it out since I got off work early but decided to stay home and wash the beast insted....
